Skiing in Abruzzo

L'Aquila is one of the coldest cities on the peninsula, a record due to its proximity to Gran Sasso d'Italia, which, at 2914 msl, is the highest peak in the Apennines.

Gran Sasso is one of the most striking ski destinations in Central Italy and can be reached from our hotel in less than half an hour.

Campo Imperatore is not the only ski resort in the L'Aquila area, however. L'Aquila is in a strategic position to be able to easily reach two other splendid resorts for snow enthusiasts in a short time: Monte Magnola (Ovindoli) and Campo Felice.
